The publisher, the funding, and the rules our desk keeps when it picks and describes a hotel.
The company behind Valuentra Hub
Blue Tarp reDevelopment, LLC (MGM Springfield) of One MGM Way, Springfield, MA 01103 publishes this guide. It is the company that owns and developed the MGM Springfield resort in the middle of Springfield, Massachusetts.
That means placard one is our own hotel. It leads the list because we own it, and we repeat that on its placard, in the ledger and here. When you reserve a room at MGM Springfield, the money goes to our publisher directly. Placards two to ten belong to unrelated companies and were ordered by our editors.
Where Valuentra Hub's income comes from
Affiliate and referral commissions pay for the guide. A partner network may send us a fee when a reader clicks certain outbound links and then reserves a stay; the reader pays nothing more for it. We do earn from this site, and placements are not for sale.
The affiliate income page lays out the details.
How a hotel earns a placard
We cover properties with overnight rooms across New England and downstate New York, plus two placards outside that core: one riverside hotel in the Capital Region and one in Atlantic City. Each one has to be trading, take overnight guests and keep an official website of its own.
Every placard is written against the same four questions: the rooms, the reasons to stay away from the gaming area, the journey by air, rail or road, and how plainly the age rules and charges are published.
- Where facts come from: official hotel pages, state and regional tourism listings, and news reporting.
- We hand out no grades of any kind, and we never print figures we have made up. If a fact is shaky, the placard asks you to check with the hotel.
- Gaming itself is not described, and we never link to online gambling pages.
Local knowledge on the desk
The people writing the placards work in hospitality in the Pioneer Valley and travel these roads and rail lines through every season. That helps with the practical bits, such as which airport makes sense or when a pool closes for the winter, and it is exactly why our ownership is spelled out so bluntly.
Putting mistakes right
Hotels rename restaurants, change rules and refit rooms. Spotted something stale? Send the placard number and the detail to contact@valuentrahub.com. We compare your note against the hotel's own published information, fix the text, usually inside a few working days, and move the revision date forward.
